But I caught up on your articles again! I redeemed myself, and rejoined the humanity.

(Of course that's what I meant! Six feet worth of uppity - how cool. I'm only a hair over five one - and getting seriously tired of looking up at the world)

What? You missed some of MY articles? OH THE HUMANITY!

I'm not sure I buy into the princess syndrome. I do think we all have basic needs for human interaction we are trying to meet and we can get so caught up in meeting our needs that we overlook the needs of others.

As for the "uppity women" my wife is 6 foot, so I like em kind of uppity, I guess. (That is what you meant, right?)

Hi Reg, just catching up on some articles I've missed. I think there's some truth behind the idea of princess syndrome, and that the social order of females emphasizes and even rewards it. But I've known males with the spoiled-and-the-world-owes-me belief, too - I don't think male social orders reward it as much though, so they get more validation from women/mixed groups.

What I question most here are the causes, especially the bit about feminism - Dang us uppity women, getting out of our places and thinkin' the world owes us lil things like equal pay and access to opportunities ;)

have you ever read queen bees and wannabees ( excuse the likely misspelling of the title ) It speaks to the heirarchy of girls being popular. Also something that carries into adult female hood - I was introduced to the book and concept when we switched from a very diverse small class size school to an overcrowed wealthy school across town - as i was reading and distinquishing this book my daughter could tell me in real terms the ever changing example of this at school. It was fascinating.

remind me that i should write that story sometime
